A CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: Church on the Rock Christian Academy and its God-centered, curriculum meets the educational needs of today with the traditional values of yesterday and the technology of tomorrow. For more than two decades COTRCA has offered a back-to-God, back-to-parents, back-to-basics, and back-to-the-individual movement in education for its students. Honoring God through non-denominational morning devotions, students also hear and memorize Scripture verses in their learning materials throughout the year. Every Friday, Chapel Services are held in the Sanctuary, with worship songs praising the Lord and a message from the Bible . The faculty and staff meet together for prayer every morning before school begins to seek God's blessing on the day and to offer special prayers when needed.

WHO: 67% of our students are Caucasian, while 33% are African American, Hispanic, and Mid-Eastern and other ethnic groups. 30% come from Single Parent / Guardian households.

WHAT: Church on the Rock Christian Academy is a non-denominational, Christian school providing an outstanding, affordable educational alternative to working families in the Baltimore-Washington metro- politan area. Our daily goals are educating for academic excellence in each of the 14 levels in classrooms from PreK-4 to the 12th grade.

WHEN: Church on the Rock Christian Academy was founded in 1974 as “Calvary Temple Christian Academy” and offered the church parents only two Kindergarten classes. Over the years the school grew, adding two grades at a time, changing its name to Church on the Rock Christian Academy in 2006, but always serving the Old Mill community with excellent education in small classes in a safe environment.

WHERE: 95% of our students live in the metropolitan area between Baltimore, MD, and Washington D.C. The school is located in at 649 Old Mill Road in Millersville, MD, near Ft. Meade military base. Students graduation from COTRCA go on to purse various careers. Students have been accepted to both local and out-of-stage colleges including Rutger's Universtiy, Nilla Julie, The College of Notre Dame, The Naval Academy, and other local colleges. some choose military careers or pursue trades in technical schools. They have also been accepted into training programs with the US Government.

HOW: COTRCA uses thematerials from Alpha & Omega Publications and Accelerated Christian Education curriculum, enhanced by advanced lesson planning and science projects in the core curriculum of English Grammar, English Literature, Math, Science, and Social Studies. An S.A.T. Preparatory course is offered to high school students.

TUITION: Tuition rates, learning materials, and other fees are kept very low in order to provide a financially feasible education and to better serve the community.

COMPUTER LAB: COTRCA was blessed by a gift of a $100,000.00 Computer Lab, which serves every student in the school, from the four-year olds to seniors in high school.
